INÉS CUELLO & PABLO MURGIER

Information

A meeting between two leading figures in Argentine music. From folk roots to the national songbook, with tango along the way, this duo takes tradition as a compass rather than an anchor. This new project will feature original, previously unreleased songs that actively engage in dialogue with contemporary Argentine literature. Inés Cuello (Voice) Born in 1989 in the province of Buenos Aires, Inés Cuello is one of the most prominent and versatile voices in contemporary Argentine popular music. With a deep connection to tango, she has reimagined the genre with a unique sensitivity, establishing herself as one of its leading international exponents. She has brought her art to renowned stages around the world, including Teatro Colón (Argentina), Grand Théâtre de Genève (Switzerland), Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Japan), Poly Theatre (China) and Deutsches Theater (Germany). Her tours across Europe, Asia and Latin America have established her as an undisputed artist of international standing. Pablo Murgier Pazdera (Piano) Born in La Plata and based in France, Pablo Murgier Pazdera is a pianist and composer. Since childhood, the piano has been his channel for connecting with other worlds and questioning his way of being in the world. His musical journey moves through jazz, contemporary composition and classical music, with the freedom of someone who chooses to position himself at the margins in order to develop his own distinctive voice. The questions of why and how music is made, and whom it is made for, run throughout his entire body of work. His practice seeks to integrate art into different imaginaries, territories and communities, shaping a musical language that serves as a living reflection of a present moment and a particular territory.
