ÓSCAR PEÑAS QUARTET

Information

The guitarist and composer Óscar Peñas, born in Barcelona and based in New York, comes to Club del Disco with a project that combines contemporary jazz, melodic sensitivity, and a deeply personal perspective. With an international career and collaborations with big names in jazz such as Ron Carter, Mike Stern, Uri Caine, Paquito D’Rivera, and Esperanza Spalding, Peñas has developed his own language that blends jazz, classical music, and his Mediterranean roots. For this occasion, he will be accompanied by Antonio Mazzei (piano), Mauro Battisti (double bass), and David Xirgu (drums), four top-level musicians who come together to create a repertoire full of improvisation, subtlety, and energy.
