Horacio Fumero and Elisabeth Roma arrive with a new project, the result of a long shared history and distinctive artistic journeys that now converge in a unique proposal. Rooted in years of listening and complicity, double bass and guitar engage in dialogue within a subtle and open sonic space, where the “choros” intertwine naturally. The concert offers an intimate and intense experience, in which the musical depth and talent of both performers emerge with freedom and precision. Horacio Fumero is a central figure in European and Latin American jazz. A leading double bassist, he has developed an international career marked by constant exploration, major collaborations and a distinctive personal voice defined by freedom and creative risk. His work with Tete Montoliu and fellow Santa Fe native Gato Barbieri, two major figures whose sensitivity and vision have influenced generations, was decisive in shaping his musical and professional path. Elisabeth Roma, a classically trained guitarist, has forged her own path between classical music, jazz and contemporary creation, standing out for her interpretative sensitivity and her ability to move between different musical languages with depth and elegance. Her artistic — and personal — connection with trombonist and singer Rita Payés has shaped her work in recent years, giving life to an incomparable musical duo built on complicity, listening and a shared sensitivity. Friends and musical collaborators for many years, Fumero and Roma reunite in this duo project, bringing together a shared history and a vibrant artistic present. It is a proposal based on mutual trust, open dialogue and the exploration of an unusual instrumentation.
