With a 25-year career, Altertango has established itself as one of the most influential bands in contemporary tango. Its unmistakable sound and overwhelming energy have crossed borders, reaffirming its position as one of the scene’s most innovative acts. Recognized by both the press and audiences as an undisputed benchmark in today’s tango scene, the group blends tango tradition with influences from rock, jazz, and Argentine popular music.

Throughout their career, they have recorded eight albums, from «Altertango I» (2002) to «En Vivo 20 años» (2023). They have brought their music to stages across Argentina and around the world, becoming a leading name in contemporary tango.

«La saga dels marges» is Altertango’s new album, conceived as a meeting point for different traditions, territories, and musical sensibilities. Divided into three chapters—«La suite ADN», «La suite del Raval», and «La suite de l’Arrabal»—the project celebrates friendship and the many collaborations with 21st-century tango musicians, while also reclaiming the genre’s original spirit as a meeting point for diverse cultures.
